Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue undergraduate and graduate programs.
Field of study: Scholarships are offered to graduate students whether legal studies or other disciplines that are keen to produce ambitious doctoral work in an excellent research environment.
The Albrecht Mandelson Bartholdi Graduate School of Law grants scholarships of € 1,050 per month to cover living expenses. An additional € 100 per month is paid to cover research costs.
Scholarships are awarded throughout the PhD program. The continuation of the scholarship is subject to annual review based on satisfactory academic progress. Please clearly indicate in your application for admission whether you will apply for a scholarship or not.
Students at the Albrecht Mandelson Bartholdi School of Graduate Studies do not pay the tuition fees.
All enrolled students must pay administrative fees to the University (about 310 Euro per semester). This includes a six-month ticket for public transport in Hamburg.

For our PhD program, the minimum admission requirement is a university degree in law or an illegal master’s degree in research (in particular in business administration, political science, or sociology).
Students whose first language is not English or German are required to demonstrate their proficiency in the language by providing relevant certificates.
